And the views, for folks who don't know, who are watching, who don't know Palisades, they're almost sort of nature's steps down to the Pacific.
I mean, that's really how you can kind of think of them.
They're almost terraces down to the Pacific.
So almost everyone has an ocean view, at least a little bit of one.
Just a stunning neighborhood.
I mean, a truly stunning place.
Ronald Reagan lived there when he was an actor.
For example, all kinds of stars have lived there.
Wealthy Californians, generally an upscale place, not entirely upscale, by the way, but generally so.
And by the way, too, in addition to the property destruction, you know, people died.
It's hard to know exactly how many, you know, because which deaths do you ascribe to the fire itself?
But probably at least a dozen people died that day in addition to the massive property destruction.
But the failure to rebuild, I just I think it's horrendous as Americans.
even if we don't live in California, even if you don't care about California, as an American, I hope everybody feels outrage about that.
Because as Americans, when something bad befalls us, when it's a hurricane or a fire or whatever it is, right?
When 9-11 happens, there's a terror attack, we rebuild, right?
We rebuild.
And we need to do it with a sense of
urgency, the way America knows how to do, because we have the resources, we have the engineering, we have the attitude, we have the financing.
There's just no excuse for the complete failure to rebuild.
