The next morning, I rent a car and head up through some rolling hills toward the village of Dravna.

Two hours later, I come to the top of a rise.

In the distance, perched on top of a mountain peak, I can see the castle and the village below it.

I start down the rise, enjoying the peaceful view, and then things stop being peaceful all of a sudden.

The shot blows out of the front tire and my car starts careening down the grade.

I fight for control a few seconds, but I'm getting nowhere.

Then I spot a bank and I plow into it.

I dive out of the car and start running across the middle for cover.

There's a clump of trees 100 yards away.

If I can make it, I'll be okay.

Then another slug kicks up the dust two feet ahead of me.

I try another direction.

Again, a shot ahead of me.

I start running back to the car.

This time, the slug hits only a foot in front of me.
