So I stand still and wait.
Pretty soon, a slender figure starts down the hill toward me, wearing heavy boots and a leather jacket and carrying a rifle with a telescopic sight.

She marches me up the road toward the village, much to my surprise.
An hour later, I'm walking down the one and only street with a little sniper, shooter's rifle still in my back, and all the villagers lining the street staring at me.
I don't like what I see in their faces either, fear and suspicion.
Finally, we get to a blacksmith's shop at the end of the street.
Inside, there's an old gent whacking away at a piece of metal, and sitting on a crate in a corner, there's another man, younger and very rugged looking, and right now he's giving me a very cold stare.
The old gent stops hammering as soon as he spots us.
Who is this man, Magda?
