He didn't walk anybody, and that's the key to going deep into the game.

set up their off-speed pitches.

And they'll use that to get ahead, then wipe them out with the fastball.

I think Sean can do either at this point.

Right now he's pitching with a tremendous amount of confidence.

And right now all of his stuff is working.

So he's going through a period where he's one of the best pitchers around.

And when he goes to the mound, you kind of expect to win that game and probably should have won that ballgame last night.

But in baseball, which is highly unpredictable, you find situations where

a little off the end of the bat hit that bloops into center field and a little ground ball that goes through the right side and an infield hit, which really kicked it off with McClain doing it, you find that sometimes the other team, which is paid to get hits and score some runs also, they do it just a little better than you do it.

Well, I think that it's nice that he got that first appearance out of the way.

I actually talked with his parents coming down from the stands after the game last night, and they were very happy with it.

You know, you're talking about still a very young pitcher, a guy who hasn't had any experience at all.

He experienced his first major league outing.
