When the Reds were called upon to make contact,

Uh and you start, you know, on the road it's it's the top of the tenth then you got a runner at second base.

They hit two sacrifice flies.

So they made contact in a situation where the Sox

failed to make contact when it was their turn in the bottom of the tenth.

I think it's it's a pitcher who has made every start from the beginning of the season

In a situation where he hasn't done that before and I think last year was the most innings he'd ever pitched at a hundred and forty two and he's knocking at the door right now, so it could very well be there's a little fatigue setting in.

And the only way to really get used to it is actually to get used to it.

I mean it sounds easy but it's true.

Uh if you've gone and knocking at the door at two hundred innings on a yearly basis, you have a pretty good idea about how to get there and how to take care of your body and your arm to be able to keep you strong long into the season.

I I don't think Davis has been there yet, so I think that's one of the things he's dealing with.

And as far as tipping pitches, quite obviously the Red Sox are finding that they uh they're not getting enough tip pitches because they've lost four in a row.

So this is what happens during a season.

And that means that uh you go through your hot streaks and your cold streaks.

Your your starting pitching sometimes will be outstanding, other times it won't.

That's when the offense has to take hold.

So this is a team effort and this is something that the Sox are gonna have to do.

Right now they still have the inside track of the division title.

They still have a chance at getting that first round by, which is what you're looking at.

But they've got to do things a little bit better and that's playing small ball because hitting the ball out of the ballpark is good and you like to see that.
