So I wouldn't be shocked if I saw someone, whether it's Philly or another team, go after Fantoli.
I would be shocked if someone bothered to, you know, sort of irritate a Chicago or a San Jose in another year on a Bedellard celebrating because I don't think that gets anyone anywhere other than some short-term theatrics.
That was a fun one.
It's fun when these offer sheets have a little bit of spite thrown in on them, and there's some backstory there, right, where it sounds like New Jersey with the new GM saw they had a deal for Hayden in the draft.
Utah may have strong-armed them, pun intended, so to speak, and didn't make that deal, and then
Jersey said, aha, we got you on an offer sheet for a player who, even if you match, he's a UFA this summer or next summer.
So you really have to use him.
You won't get any value of trading him down the line.
I think it makes sense Utah matched.
He's a good player, 4'7".
7's a manageable cap hit.
Second round pick comp is pretty pedestrian for anyone, especially Utah with that deep prospect pool.
So love the storyline and think it was sort of a vanilla type of decision for Utah in the end.
Yeah, I'm still holding out hope for a Drew Brown start this week instead.
