Yeah, this is something that seems to seep in from academic circles.

Uh and as you know, sometimes academics get appointed into government and government policy starts tooling around with these ideas.

And also this this idea has been talked about a lot since the advent of the latest Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Uh there's a lot of talk about whether Russia would deploy tactical or theater-based uh nuclear weapons as a part of escalation.

Dominance.

And uh this is a Pandora's box that just has never been opened.

Uh as anyone knows, we haven't there hasn't been a nuclear device used in war since 1945 when two big ones ended the the Pacific campaign.

Uh and the question of can you step into nuclear weapons without stepping all into nuclear weapons, or can you have these uh

Devices that would have relatively limited scope and you could use on military, not civilian targets, in theory.

And that has definitely been kicked around.

And so it from reporting that that we're seeing, it it looks as though there are some people in the Pentagon.

There are some sort of think tank like entities within the Pentagon that may be researching and kicking this around.

I find it hard to

To imagine how it fits into some kind of an escalatory scenario uh that would be meaningful because the most likely scenario we'd be looking at would be with China.

And uh, you know, if you step into the that ladder, they have f higher up from there to go.

So I don't know what it really earns you.
