Boy, I think we listened to 90 or more auditions for the role of Dante. And we narrowed it down to five people. They were all really great. And it was really a tough decision. But I think there was just something about Ellie that
that gave us... He really captured that kind of wisecracking kind of character. Dante is funny. Both Case and Dante are funny, but Dante's kind of a little bit more of the jokester. Yep.
um he's the one who's going to get the two in trouble if anybody's going to get him into trouble um he has a mouth on him um and uh ellie was really able to kind of capture that sense and really bring it and i think you guys read really well together which was it was really important to me agree so yeah um and then of course you mentioned uh
W Keith Timms. Yep. So that plays our professor. Yep. So we brought in W Keith Timms. Um, I had him, he auditioned for us for something else, uh, for station one 51 and we ended up going a different direction, but I really liked his voice and we were, uh, we, he was one of the very early auditions for us. And then we had a number of others, um, come in for the professor. Um, but I think, uh,
What's interesting about Keith is that he's also a professor himself. And so I think he could bring that kind of experience and thinking and just the way of speech to the character. But the professor is supposed to be older. He's in his 70s at this point.
He's still teaching. He's a professor of occult studies up at KU. I do not believe KU has an occult studies program, but they should. I probably would have been in it if they did, but no, I don't think they do. I would be very surprised. But along with the professor, Professor Leo Zinn, he has an assistant named Selina Morgan.
And Selena is a 20-something woman, probably 25, 27, I think somewhere in there, played by Aidan Dawn, who we've already glowed about previously. But Selena, as you'll find out very early on...
It's just a quick aside. What's fun with the narrator episodes versus the live audio dramas is that we can also... While some of the narrator episodes may feel like they aren't really fully connected, each one does mean something. And so...
they often are used to introduce characters earlier, and then we meet them again. And so we see Selina, or Sully, in a young form as one of the narrator episodes. And then right afterwards, we meet her in a Professor and Selina episode. And so we get a little bit of sense of that there's a little bit more going on with Selina than you might suspect.
And certainly more so if we didn't have the backstory of her and all of that. But she's a good assistant to the professor. She, of course, has her own agenda, her own things as well going on. And Aiden really, really brought that together nicely. Agreed. Yeah. She was an easy pick. Yeah.
So in addition to Aiden, we also have a character named Remy. Remy is also introduced as a narrator episode first. So we get his backstory and we get a sense of what's some other mysterious thing going on with him. And then we meet him in real life. He actually doesn't show up, I think, until like episode 17 or something like that.
As far as where we actually hear him in hear his voice, but he is played by Thomas Villamizar and, uh, really, uh, again, we entered or we auditioned a whole bunch of people for, for the role of Remy, but, um,
What I really liked about him is he kind of captured, there was something about Remy that was important to capture. And I think he, not only just that sense of youth, Remy should probably be about the 24 or so age, a couple of years younger than Selina.
But also kind of there's like a slight nervousness with him and it makes sense. Vulnerability. Yeah. And Thomas really did a good job capturing that. A big part of like when we're doing these casts castings is because it is an audio drama.
And again, as I said before, because we can't see the people on screen, it's only the voice that differentiates them. So we really want the voices to be distinctive and different and to really represent that character. And I love that Remy is different than Ellie and Ellie is different than you. And you are so much different than the professor. All of these are very distinct and different. So...
You mentioned Aiden being... Aiden Dawn being a connection for a lot of other fantastic cast members. And I think there's one we should point out, and that's... Kira. Kira. Kira Morgana. She... I believe she works with Aiden quite a bit or directly. But...
Kira is great. She plays an important character. She only shows up in one episode. I'm not going to talk anymore about that character. But she's a lot of fun. And boy, I love having her as part of this cast. Yeah, she was. She really, really brought that character to life. And she was incredibly fun to record with as well. And we'll see that character more in season two and season, maybe season three, probably season three and beyond. So.

So you'll see some... You'll hear some of the Tips Lines recordings that are left. If you become a Patreon member, you'll hear a lot more of those. It's just a fun little aside. But they still mean something. They aren't just throwaway little bits. They are something that feed into the story. And I actually liked working with all of those guys enough that I would want to actually... I...
They were going to be throwaway parts, and we are going to bring them more into the show because I really liked what they did for each of those roles. The, you know, the little recordings and stuff like that almost began as just kind of a goofy idea. Like, hey, what if we recorded some of these these calls into this tips line? But we realized, you know what, this is this could be important. Yeah. And and we actually use it
