We've talked about locations. We have, for the first time, given the names of all of the episodes in season one, we talked...

About a lot of things. We've been doing a lot of talking. It seems like this has been going on, but why has this taken so long? Yeah, it has. It grew on us. Sure. I mean, you know, you're the marketer anyway, right? We have to market far enough out in advance to build audience, right? True. We want so many subscribers before we launch. It helps the numbers. It helps to make a bigger splash. A bigger splash just means...

uh more success for us success means uh potential ad dollars again sorry about bringing that up but you know uh we do want to be able to be making at least a little bit of money we want this show to at least pay for itself at bare minimum and the next season and the next season please right um

But, uh, so, you know, we started, I think the very first trailers we put out were like around October of last year. Um, yeah, September, October, something like that. Um, you know, and we did it with good faith thinking that we would be coming out late winter, late winter being up into the first of March of this year, um, or spring, spring being, uh, um, uh, March through June. Um, but, uh, um, you know, it's,

It takes a lot. And honestly, we both have day jobs. We both have life. We have a lot of things. I know we both have a lot of things that have happened in the past year or two in our personal lives. Yeah, they've taken a lot of time. We don't need to get into those details. But I know for me, I would say that I have elderly parents. I have spent so much time in the past two to three years trying to help transition them.

From the farm that they had lived on and getting it sold and getting a moved up into Lawrence, Kansas. And, you know, that has just been a big competition for my spare time and my day job. It just this past spring, you know, working as the art director for Money Cook Games, we launched two different crowdfunding campaigns this spring.

A lot of that is on my shoulders and that that takes just a lot of my time in addition to anything else I'm trying to do at the same time. So, you know, we had a lot of good faith to have the show out probably by February or March and it just wasn't happening.

Oh, yeah. There you go. Yeah. I mean, that was that was a very recent get. Sure. And we've been talking to. So we've been talking to a composer named Jimmy Svensson, who is a Swedish Swedish composer.

We found his music over on artlist.io that we will occasionally use for sound effects and for music. We've done it a lot for Station 151. But we used Jimmy's music for some Station 151 stuff. Really liked it.

And Steve found him on Instagram. I had commented at one point on one of his things, and he remembered that exchange. But I emailed him. You and I chatted and said, you know what? I might just email Jimmy to see, hey, would he be up for doing some music for us?

And he said, yeah, that's great. So we have a special deal. I'm not going to get into the specifics of the deal, but he has written intro and outro music for us and other melodies.

and stingers and some drone sounds and uh just a real good selection of music not not everything you'll hear in the show is his stuff but he uh we are definitely using his work for these uh um uh for these key theme musics the intros and the outros and some other bits and um and it's great right it's it's it's weird and creepy and it's just

I think both of us really are big fans of music. Steve plays guitar, but I don't think either of us would ever call ourselves musicians. I mess around with a keyboard. I can make some sounds come out of a computer or a keyboard, but you'd never call it music. So yeah, Jimmy is a great addition to the show. Yeah.

I think it was a little bit shocking to both of us when he said yes. We thought, wow, really? That's fantastic. I think it was also shocking that we had used his music that we found through Artlist.io, which should be another plug. Yeah, they should sponsor us too. But when we mentioned Station 151, I believe he said that he'd heard it.

Yeah, because I think probably because I had mentioned it to him on Instagram. Oh, okay. And so he followed up and listened to the show, at least some of it, you know. So it's not for everyone. Lots of people really love Station 151. I know some of you or some people have been less fans because of maybe the language. Yeah.

Edge of the Forgotten is not nearly laced with language like Station 151. There is probably an F-bomb or two here or there, but we're not using it as seasoning. It really just happens once or twice because it's...

You're going to say that in those kinds of situations. That's right. I can think of two. Yeah. I'm sure there's at least a handful, but it's not Wayne-level cursing. Yeah. He's not a sailor. Edge of the Forgotten will be fun for the whole family. Yeah. Yeah. That's not true. Most of the family. Most of the family. That's right. Maybe not the others. I would have listened to this as a teen anyway.

i would have too but you know back in the day we were reading things that were way over our grade level yeah but and that's why we are uh what we are today no weird um but that's the first time we've worked with obviously with a composer yeah and jimmy was fantastic yep we'd send him little notes like hey could you know could we hear something a little bit different here and a little bit different there and i kept waiting for him to say no you get what you get
