We started building too much momentum.
And I realized pretty quickly that we were about to completely sell out, especially since we only did a small manufacturing run.
So we had to call the manufacturer right away.
And luckily they were able to.
get us a new order out within just a couple of days, which is one of the perks about working with a US manufacturer.
They were able to ship it out to us fast when overseas that could have taken weeks.
Even with that, we did still sell out, but at least we had more inventory on the way so people could still place orders even though they weren't prime eligible.
This did slow down a lot of our momentum and it's definitely something new sellers need to be ready for.
Amazon just rolled out a brand new metric that might be indicating where their focus is going to be shifting for 2026.
This is something that I didn't actually expect and I actually kind of enjoy.
And that would be the Amazon rolled out their brand store quality rating.
So what is this exactly?
Essentially, the way that works is that Amazon is measuring you on two different things.
They are going to be measuring your brand store dwell time and then your brand store sales.
But not only that, they are giving you as well a peer group dwell time and a peer group sales to base yourself off of to understand how well you are actually optimized for exactly whatever it is that Amazon is looking at here.
Now, a couple of questions I had immediately when I was looking at this is,
What is Amazon basing this off of, right?
They give a quality rating.
They're high, medium, or low.
And I wanted to know, how are they actually coming to the conclusion as to how quality your store is?
