This is a question from a resident, so that's why I'm asking this.
So it's true the quarry is not in our jurisdiction, but the roads that the trucks travel on are?
So, I mean, they can't claim, oh, we're grandfathered in, we can make as much noise as we want, or can they?
Okay, but we could put in regulations for our streets that we own.
Is that true?
Okay.
This is on page 83, HS-2.14, Secondary Ingress and Egress for Existing Development.
So when it says encourage secondary means of ingress and egress, it seems...
Like, are we either gonna mandate it or are we going to say, yeah, if you feel like it, do it?
I mean, for existing development, it is kind of difficult, but for new development, it should definitely be mandated.
I guess it's too late now for the Abulich property, but we need to get this into our general plan as a mandate as soon as we can so we don't end up with this kind of thing again.
Yeah, I mean, it's a good point that Commissioner Rao makes, but I'm also thinking about
I recall on San Fernando Avenue once, there was dual ingress-egress, and then I believe it was a church got torn down, they built houses so you can no longer get out onto McClellan, and so in that case, the developer was allowed to remove ingress-egress, and I think that's something we really want to not,
allow in the future to you know now there's a single point of ingress egress on that road where before we had two so let's not approve more developments that remove ingress egress
Yeah, I agree with Commissioner Rao.
Normally, we're just giving feedback, but when you make it into a resolution or a motion, then it gets, then it's documented.
I'm open to staff input on this if you have recommendations.
Can you make it more succinct in the resolution?
Sure, I'll second.
And is this all complaint-based enforcement?
