And I, you know, it would have been amazing if I'd read this before I did.
We want more with Brian because, uh, and he's to be clear, great guy.
I love the guy.
And, uh, he's, if he didn't take to the story like we did, because he didn't have the core that you and I share with Harry.
Yeah.
And what Harry wants is not, he wants a mentor, but the reason that you and I identified, or maybe, maybe I'm projecting, tell me if I'm wrong.
is that i wanted the community you know it's like i don't i don't want just smart friends i want i want people who think like i do and uh that's what sets you know that that's that's what he wants that's what he gets that's why he wants to be that's why he endures his relationship with quarrel despite it being awkward enough where they you know break into a prison together and stuff like he's like i found my people
And he found a better version of that in that he found a mentor.
But the rest of us wanted Quirrell to be good because we found our people in him too.
Yeah.
And, and the line that, that hits me so hard is the one that he doesn't say out loud is that sometimes good intentions aren't enough.
And cause that's true, you know, and everybody has people like that.
You know, my parents aren't rationalists for example.
And, and they in fact aren't like looking back, I had a great, I had a, I had a really good childhood as far as childhoods go.
And I could go on about that, but the point it's going to make is we didn't have science books in the house.
We didn't even have a ton of fiction books.
But it was great for what it was.
So if I could tweak things, I would have put more books in my childhood home maybe is the one change I would have made.
But I guess it sounds like I'm dogging on my parents and I'm not because overall, they did a great job.
But I guess it's not merely good intentions.
