But it feels like England have had this concept in their mind about out and out pace and it just hasn't quite worked because ultimately test match batters, unless you're 94 miles an hour, they play pace well, they're used to it.

I reckon those change rooms are getting an absolute pounding from that Gunnamore bat when he gets back in.

And as a captain, that lack of control with the ball when you can't actually bowl, but those four balls that you know the field's not been set for can build up that frustration in a captain like it looks like Stokes is feeling, can't it?

Yeah, and it's frustrating.

I've been in those situations a lot of times where you're talking a good game in the changing room, you're really knowing what you're trying to go and do, but you're just not able to execute it.

And sometimes you have to go to the opposition, do you know what, you're just too good for us.

In these conditions, we just can't compete with what you're doing and the relentlessness that you're doing.

But I feel like this England team are probably not sensing that.
