It's a really interesting car.
If you haven't looked at it, take a look at it online.
The car is shaped a little bit like a V where the front is wider than the rear.
And it is front wheel drive, the only Tesla that's front wheel drive.
And they supposedly developed the motor, the drive unit in this car is a fifth generation Tesla drive unit specifically manufactured for efficiency.
So the idea is they're trying to get as many watt hours per mile that they can out of these cars to cut down the running cost of them.
And another interesting tidbit that we did not know until the cars were released and they had a technical day where people came out and they were able to show the inside of the car and show the components.
these cars are not capable of charging at home, at least the current versions.
They can only supercharge.
So that makes sense for a taxi that needs to charge quick and get right back on the road.
It doesn't really line up with Tesla's earlier claims that these cars are gonna be purchasable by anybody.
Elon still says that by the end of this year, 26, you'll be able to buy one of those cars for yourself.
If you can't charge it at home, I don't know, that seems a bit like a problem.
So in the original demo back in November of 2024, they showed this, the CyberCabs wirelessly charging in promotional footage, never in a physical demo.
The wireless charging tech is slated.
It's still slated for release at some point.
There's no news about it.
The current CyberCabs charge with a normal NACS plug, just like your Model Y has, just like my Cybertruck has, that it just happens to be on the rear bumper and it's not
meant to be operated by an owner at the moment.
So will they incorporate?
