My understanding on this particular revision of Starship is they have fixed a bunch of that.
They've changed a whole bunch of the way the engines work.
They've refined a lot of the things that caused problems last time.
This particular flight will have a complete heat shield, so there's no deliberately faulty tiles.
They're going for full simulation
of trying to bring the thing back without any damage to see how it does.
My understanding is they've painted some of the tiles different colors to see how they'll react, but there's no deliberate failure points that they've introduced into this version.
The perfect mission, my understanding, is successful, uneventful liftoff, reach suborbital height, separate.

This time, they're not simulators.
This time, they're real.
They've got 20, if I understand correctly, 20 Starlink V3 satellites, which is the first true practical mission that Starship will have, is to put these third-generation satellites in orbit.
They're too large for any existing
to carry to space.
This is the first ship that can do that, using the PEZ dispenser, as they call it, to eject them once it gets up there.

the dispenser seems to work okay the issue so far is that they've only been deploying dummies uh and this time they're gonna have real ones on there unfortunately it's not gonna reach orbit so the satellites will burn up after about 20 minutes uh so it's not going to be an expansion of the starlink network yet they will be able to do connection testing they'll be able to make sure the bandwidth is what it's supposed to be and they've equipped again i think
believe i'm right on this they've put six of the 20 satellites have um cameras on them and they're going to do a like a mid-flight inspection right yeah look at it before they bring before they bring starship back down uh since this won't be an attempted catch elon people have been asking this especially with uh the the spacex's first earnings call now that it's a public company right um
