Now sometimes uh with some kids and here I'll take my younger uh kid, three years younger, also neurodivergent, uh he uh was very touch aversive.
Uh but what he did like was uh a weighted blanket.
And here he would um he was self-regulating with the w weighted blanket, but not by himself.
And that's the key.
Um, so it wasn't a case of say sending him to his room so he could lie under the blanket.
We had to be with him and do exactly what Debbie just said, which was that low soft voice, uh, so that he was getting that calming, the releasing the oxytocin while he was getting the pressure from the blanket.
