But in Rick and I's career, you know, there was a famous, very powerful consultant named Arthur Finkelstein.

Who handled Jesse Helms and all these crazy right wingers.

I worked for Bill Weld in Massachusetts.
Arthur and his partner then moved to Massachusetts to take advantage of the gay adoption laws that Weld passed that Arthur opposed.
And you've gotta be really torqued up inside to be able to kind of rationalize that.
Yeah, and sad, I think, very sad.
You know, the first guy I ever worked for had been chief of staff to a congressman who I had been a page for.
And when that congressman ran for the Senate, he, chief of staff, then ran for his race.
