And it's the first guy I ever worked for.
He won.
He was married to a former Miss Georgia.
And he was arrested in the sixth floor bathroom of the Longworth building, which apparently was like a gay assignation spot when the sixth floor of the Longworth was mostly storage rooms, and ended up resigning from Congress.
Just a very sad story.
It's an amazing story, actually.
When he was chief of staff to this congressman,
He had been arrested at Iwo Jima Memorial Park for some, whatever they would call, like coming onto an undercover officer.
And he also, tragically, horribly, in the middle of the afternoon during a work week, walked over from the Capitol to Southwest Washington, and there was a gay porn theater called Cinema Follies.
And he was in that theater.
It was on the second story of a building.
He had to go upstairs.
And the stairs caught on fire.
Someone was cleaning them.
And there were 16 people in that theater.
And he was the only survivor of those 16.
And that never came out.
The congressman he worked for, Thad Cochran, knew about it, obviously.
And I think that Thad's credit was...
I don't know what the word, but certainly was accepting of John.
