Like a lot of people saying you just got handed it, like calling me a DEI and, you know, thinking that I just got handed this rose just for being there.

We had a weekend selection over two nights.

The selection was Sunday.

I was on Saturday.

I had no family on Sunday because I told all my family, guys, I'm not going to get picked.

Like, don't bother coming.

I had three friends who were like, no, just in case I have a feeling.

I didn't even think that I was going to get picked.

So this whole notion of being handed stuff.

No, I've actually worked for it.

And everything I've gotten is a reflection of me and myself.

I'm a medical scientist.

You know, I've done a lot of social work, social justice work.

And I'm like, I have a room club, a lot of things.

And they're not looking at that.

They just cannot see past the skin color and my hijab and everything like that.
