My family are very supportive.

I have a very strong village, I'll say that.

And, you know, I always say, like, as a joke to people, I'm like, I have family that have survived war.

Like, this is nothing.

So, no, I definitely have a strong support system.

My mom and my sister and all of the family just rallied around me and even my friends as well.

Like, unfortunately, like you said, it shouldn't be like this, but I am well used to it.

And it shouldn't be like that.

But I suppose that's kind of desensitized me to all the comments a little bit, but...

It's fine.

Again, I will say it wasn't like you do face a lot of it.

And I think social media has kind of.

kind of made it more, emphasised it a bit more, because obviously it's platformed a lot of these people who have these opinions.

And obviously before social media, it was very much vocal.

A lot of it was just randomly, like you'd be on The Lewis and you'd just get a shout of racial abuse or you're walking through town or you just kind of have to be a bit more vigilant, especially for myself.

I'm a visible Muslim.

Not only am I black, I wear the hijab and I'm a woman.

So it's a bit of a three in one.

So I am very much a target.

But, you know, it's just kind of made me on my guard a bit more in town because unfortunately, I do know people who've gotten attacked from, you know, for example, they might get their head scars ripped off or, you know, during the riots two years ago, the riots in town.
