Yes.

In a nativity play, age three, in a big Victorian church.

And everybody was coming up saying, oh, Susan, she's got such a lovely little voice and everything.

And all my parents said, do not show off.

So I got a message from

absolutely that i mustn't show off and so i never put myself forward um i'd be one of those people that was you know really good person to have in a team as a worker as a singer playing my violin as well so i i did all of those things but i never valued them and and as i say never put myself forward

But it was literally this TEDx talk that I told you about that in case people haven't watched it, and I hope you do.

I went for an audition.

I'd never auditioned before for a choir, and I had to audition.

And the conductor stopped me and said, you know, you've got a beautiful voice.

You should go and get it trained.

See where it takes you.

Now, I don't know if he meant that I should have some singing lessons, but it became very apparent quite quickly that I should take it further.

At the time, when you trained your voice, you had to make a decision.

Oh, you're an opera singer.

Oh, you're a baroque singer.

Oh, you pop music.

I just love singing.

I love lots of different genre.
