In grief, we talk about just being witnessed, and that's enough.

But you just witnessed my grief.

And there's nothing you can say or do to make it any better but just bearing witness to the story and to my emotions.

I wanted to move.

I was like, I can't stay here.

So I started looking at other real estate in town.

I was like, I don't want to be here.

What was dinner like?

Oh, it was awful.

And so we had this big round table.

It was for six people.

And the four of us, you know, we were sort of lopsided, but we fit fine.

There was always like extra space.

And then when there was three of us.

It was horrific.

We barely filled it, and it was just so lonely.

And we were just a bunch of sad people sitting around this table.

I think a little bit of both because I was like, well, why is Kai not crying?

And I'm crying all the time at the drop of anything.

I'm crying, you know, taking a walk.
