I'm not on Twitter all day long.

I don't want to be.

And what I think is really important for people to remember is that the average person also isn't.

The way that we communicate about things can be really frustrating.

Can I give you an example?

The Michigan Senate race, Mallory McMorrow dropped out of the race, which means that if people had voted for her, they can do something called spoiling their ballot, which is, and I'm just saying this if your listeners aren't aware, because this is my issue, you go to the city clerk's office, you literally tell them to spoil your ballot, which means you mark it void, and then you get a new one, right?

Because you obviously can't vote for Mallory anymore.

I see all of these posts.

You can spoil your ballot.

Not a single one of them said what that means.

And I'm like, y'all, the average person, I'm going to be honest, I had to look up what it meant.

I didn't know.

I had an idea, but I was like, what does spoiling your ballot mean, right?

I think we do that a lot.

I think that we assume that everyone is as chronically online as a lot of us are.

They are not.

They're trying to pay their bills.

They don't know these terms all the time, like cloture, cloture, and, you know, just like random terms like this.

Or congressional reps will say, oh, I'm from so-and-so, I represent District 4, the 4th Congressional District of Virginia, but they won't say what town that is.
