And so, you know, Ashley, I know it's difficult, but we support you, baby girl.
It is not a small thing.
To answer your question, Rachel, what is the most dangerous lie being told?
I mean, I think there's three big lies.
One, I think the first big lie is that when someone is being targeted, whether it's Don Lemon, whether it's Lisa Cook, that targeting is just about them.
Whether it's LaMonica McIver, I know she was here at the conference yesterday, I do believe.
The targeting of Don is not just about Don Lemon, it's about journalism.
The targeting of Lisa Cook is not about the first black woman to sit on the Board of Governors for the Federal Reserve, it's about the independence of the Federal Reserve.
Maybe if the Federal Reserve understood that the first time, Lisa Cook wouldn't have to have to go all the way to the Supreme Court to defend herself, and the independence of the Fed.
Perhaps Jerome Powell should have as much gumph and umph for Lisa Cook that he does for himself.
Not nothing I haven't said on television.
When LaMonica McIver is being attacked, it's not about a young millennial black woman who also happens to be a member of Congress.
It's about Congress's ability to do their job, to do oversight, to do their job for fear of being jailed.
And so the biggest lie is that when someone is being targeted, as this administration often does because retribution is not a bug, it is a feature.
It is a feature.
The biggest lie is that it's just independently about that person.
I think the other biggest lie that's being told in this moment that I think a lot of people believe is that there's very little we can do about what's happening.
And there's a lot we can do about what is happening right now.
Now, if we don't do what we can now, maybe a year from now there will be very little we can do about what is happening.
But they tried to jail Don.
