Every province and territory in my country has wildfires right now.
Over a million hectares of my country is burning.
That's the size of Cyprus.
That's over a million football fields.
So we're seeing people evacuated despite the smoke clearing.
We're seeing businesses burned to the ground.
And I think all of this fire season is starting to become the norm, if that makes sense.
I mean, every year it seems like the fires get deadlier, bigger, and we need to have more quality alerts than that before.
I mean, it's been, you know, many people in the country are going through a lot.
And then you have a lot of rhetoric around the US being invaded by Canadians.
Canadian smoke and our willful negligence.
It doesn't boost spirits and it sometimes feels a little bit challenging because just early last year, Canada was sending firefighters.
We were sending planes to help with California fires.
So all of that adds to a situation that's already stressful and tense.
This is a technology that in the wrong hands can do immense harm.
One of the things that I talk about and I write about a lot is that there should be a lot of pressure from governments to make sure that these tech companies provide solutions, support.
And let's be honest, they invest in protecting the average person.
Anyone can use someone's voice to imitate them, to be able to separate them from their hard-earned money.
And this is going to get worse, not better, as AI improves over time.
It's going to sound odd.
