So initially, this really like helps with this problem.
But over time, it also increases the cost of like finding new friend because you get used to this, like being able to just go to the computer and type into your friend and always being there.

They become too attached and sometimes they are upset because they have become too attached and sometimes they're upset because the company might change something in the way that these systems work.
So it looks like you had a friend who was like, you were really like had a great bond and all of a sudden your friend starts behaving completely differently, you know, because the company decided to change something about their algorithms and all that.
So you are like, not only you're giving all your data, all your private thoughts and all that to the company, but you're also kind of giving this control over this very kind of close friend to them that at any point in time, you know, they can decide to stop the service, you know?
And we are already seeing cases where like a company has stopped like a kind of a companion service and users are being really distressed.
Yeah, I want to say what is like many other kind of things in this world that can be helpful and harmful at the same time, depending on the context, depending on the user and all that.
I think this is also a similar case.
So I don't want to give like a recipe for all that, you know, AI companions are good or AI companions are bad.
What I think is really important that companies really and researchers, but also companies really devote resources to researching the impacts of this and come up with like systems that are more personalized.
