Oh, look, it's been a long, illustrious career of fashion writing.
I've been doing this for a really long time now.
Like it's been like 18 plus years that I've been a fashion writer and that's taken many different forms.
But initially I started out as a fashion writer for the Australian newspaper back when they used to have a fashion section.
And I got into it because I was doing a cadetship there as a journalist because I studied print journalism back when you could study print journalism because I'm old.
And I pitched a fashion piece to the then fashion editor who was called Georgina Safe and she became like a mentor to me.
And it was about the Olsen twins.
Wow, no way.
Yeah, I know, my specialist subject.
And she ran it in the newspaper, which was a huge deal.
I think I was like 18.
That's incredible.
17 or 18 at the time.
And then I just kept pitching her pieces and then she sent me along to Australian Fashion Week to report on the runways and let me sit front row at shows she couldn't get along to and stuff and that really ignited it.
I always knew I wanted to be a magazine editor and a fashion writer and that opened a lot of doors to me having that relationship with her.
And then I ended up meeting a woman called Dwayna McCann.
Mm-hmm.
who at the time was the fashion features editor for a magazine called Grazia.
Some of our listeners will remember Grazia.
It's still running overseas and in the UK.
