when I want to be one and done with dressing now as a more mature woman I love to throw on like a long sleeve long hem bohemian maxi dress I don't mean like a really frilly flowery one I mean like a chic one yeah that's how I do that you know if I want to just like throw in and go it's that dress for me it's like that feels more right for me a jumpsuit isn't it
And I guess the lesson I'm trying to say, like sometimes you try things and you realize they're not for you and it's okay to let them go.
Like these were high value pieces that I spent a lot of money on, but they just weren't serving me anymore.
So let that go and figure out what you're trying to get at with what you're buying and what it is instead.
It's probably because I saw someone wearing an incredible Isabel Marant utilitarian jumpsuit and was trying to emulate that.
But actually like there's different ways of achieving that boho aesthetic without me actually buying a whole ass jumpsuit.
Yeah, and then I'd like think about a brand like The Row, which we speak about a lot, and I'm like I can appreciate it but it's just not me.
Like I'll never be that minimal, you know, I'll never be that girl and that's okay.
I think it's learning that you don't have to emulate it completely.
Like you can take pieces of that look and be minimal and just –
okay, the simple t-shirt or the great tailored black pant, but you don't have to be only a minimalist.
You don't have to only be bohemian.
You know, like you could wear the Isabel Marant style blouse back with like a really streamlined pant or something.
You don't have to be in a flare.
It's just like, yeah, I think I just maturing into playing with it a bit more.
So what I mean by that, and I swear this is like the hill I will die on when it comes to shopping because I do this all the time and I catch myself out.
You're fixating on an item, right?
And maybe it's like a little bit X-y, it's a bit out of your price range or you know that you'd really have to save up to get it.
So say it's a pair of really nice boots, yeah?
So you think about those boots and you really want the boots and you're saving pictures of the boots and you're researching the boots.
