Yeah, because in Cuba they have a list of dissidents, and every time there is a national holiday or an important person is traveling to Cuba or there is some rumor that some protest is going to happen, they preventively detain people.

I was saved by the international community of people in the arts because I was in prison.

And then my sister took all my friends and made a big splash internationally.

And in, I don't know, 24 hours, there was a letter of support for more than 3,000 famous artists and directors of art institutions there.

Back then, the government in Cuba cared about their international image, especially at that moment with Obama, they wanted to look good.

Now that has changed.

We have artists in prison.

We have done everything.

We have letters signed by Hollywood actors, famous Nobel laureates, and they don't care anymore.

So things have changed.

At that point, that saved me.

But immediately after I was liberated, I did another protest right away.

So they took me back because I said, I'm not going to live forever.

this detention until you liberate the other people.

And they were quite shocked about that.

And then I say, why are you shocked?

These are the revolutionary ethical elements that you taught us, you know?

But they don't like you to have good ethical... It goes against their, you know, the story they want to narrate.
