And I accepted.
We ended up getting married October 29th of 1977.
Joe asked me, he said, well, what are we going to name him?
And I said, well, we're going to name him what you wanted to name him, Timothy Allen.
While we were sitting there talking, we were sitting on stools, and I was facing him.
I saw this woman, and when she got closer, I could see that it was my aunt.
No fucking way.
She had just kept walking, and then she went down the stationary aisle.
So I excused myself from Joe.
I said, I need to go over here for a minute.
And I stood at the end of the aisle, which was probably maybe 15, 20 feet.
She glanced up, but she didn't recognize me.
So I walked down the aisle and I casually brushed her shoulder like I bumped her by mistake.
And I stopped and we're looking face to face and I said, oh, I'm sorry.
I wanted so much to say, so much more, but I knew I couldn't.
So I just said sorry again and then walked on.
I would have wrapped my arms around her and told her how much I loved her and missed her.
I said, well, as far as I know, I don't have any family left.
I said, my mom wanted me to go to college, which was true.
She wanted me to go to college.
