Um so uh that reference week starts on the on the fourth of May, but that may capture some of the hiring associated with the recent federal election that was held on the third of May.

That you get a little bit of a boost from election hiring.
So NAB expects a thirty thousand rise in employment and for the unemployment rate to hold steady at four point one percent.
I think they're one of the last and uh almost followed up by us because we reported just a couple of weeks ago as well.
Uh so uh uh our B and Z colleagues are expecting a uh zero point seven percent Q on Q rise, and that would be above the R B and Zero point four percent estimate uh in the May MPS.
Oh definitely.
And uh the BOE on hold, but still penciling in a few cuts uh towards the back end of this year.
Norgas Bank on hold as well and really looking towards the September meeting for the next uh rate cut coming from them.
And the Swiss National Bank expected to cut expected to cut rates to zero.
And then I guess the question is thereafter, are they cutting into negative territory?
So I think that'll be pretty interesting.
No, no, I I guess that just highlights the uh uh uh uncertainty at the moment.
I think FedShare Powell uh kind of said it in terms of the dot plot there.
It's uh i i i d take it with a bit of uh a bit of a grain of salt 'cause um policy is just very hard to determine in this kind of environment, just given there's so much uncertainty.

Yes, those F M C minutes weren't all that market moving, but just worth emphasizing uh three interesting points uh that were contained within.

And one of them was uh many participants remarked that reports from their business contacts or surveys indicated that firms generally were planning to either partially or fully pass on tariff related cost increases to consumers.

So it does seem like uh CPI inflation, PC inflation

should start to lift in the coming months as those firms do pass on those costs.
