And a lot of talk about um investors uh talking about doing it, uh and then a lot of talk about well, is there any evidence that they're actually doing it?
Uh and so I think this is going to be a continued conversation point as the year year progresses.
And you've been tr on your travels as well, you've been up north.
Oh that's right.
Yes, I was fortunate to be in Darwin uh last week talking to NAB's diverse range of clients and the thematics that we've been picking up uh and been mentioning and discussing.
On the morning call, particularly around defence spending, was quite pertinent there.
Darwin, very exposed to the defence sectors, very exposed to tourism as well.
And I think all eyes is really uh on Australia's defence spend.
Currently about two percent of GDP.
Uh the US administration has said uh they desire Australia to spend a higher share of GDP on defence, looking for Australia to lift it up to three and a half percent of GDP.
And uh so that would create a lot of opportunities.
opportunity uh right right around Us Australia if uh they were to lift defence bending towards those kind of levels.

So there are employment numbers for May and uh just worth noting that there's a maybe a bit of a complication with the underlying survey itself.
