Um so I I I think that just that ambiguous nature of comments uh just adds that layer of tension, uh just a lot of uncertainty in terms of uh the U
US, Israel and Iran there and I don't think we're any uh wiser in terms of uh the developments there.
Well it well at least the uh People's Bank of China governor uh has has been talking in that way.
So he predicts a future global monetary system where a few sovereign currencies coexist, compete and check and balance each other.
And uh it was it was uh we've been noting amongst our client base and you're also hearing it in the papers from the US about some uh firms wanting invoicing in CNY instead of US dollars.
So I thought I thought I thought that's been an interesting development.
Uh and then um there was a recent survey by the Gold Council of uh reserve asset managers and uh they're expecting that um the share being held in US dollar assets, this so this is from reserve asset managers such as FX reserve managers from central banks, um seventy-three percent of those surveyed expected uh US dollar assets uh to be a lower share over the next five years from now.
So I thought that was pretty interesting.
And then in terms of where uh reserve asset managers may be putting that money, uh, 76% of respondents believe that gold will be uh or will hold a moderately or significantly higher share of total reserves five years from now.
And so that's up from 69% last year.
So there's some uh smattering of um of surveys and talk uh that perhaps uh a little bit of d diversification away from US dollar assets is there.
But in terms
In terms of displacement as a reserve assets, yeah.
Yeah.
I don't think we're anywhere near that.
and indeed some of the um strength that we have seen the gold price over the past years come from
Central bank buying.
Uh and then I also had a uh lunchtime presentation yesterday by the AOFM CEO, Anna Anna Hughes.
And um uh those kind of uh presentations provide the opportunity to talk to a lot of the buy and sell side um peers out there.
And uh just a lot of talk about the US dollar, about d diversification away from US dollar assets.
