There's a in addition to the articles around China and a few Chinese and it is um there's a few articles also in the Wall Street Journal talking about how um uh private office and uh ultra high net worth in the US is also starting to pivot a little bit as well, uh, towards o offshore exposure and looking to downweight some of their US exposure as uh as as well. matched

And so I think that's a pretty significant development if you see matched

changes in allocation from that segment of the market as well. matched

Yes, and I I think that's the uh key uncertainty here. matched

Um it's very hard to see exactly where uh these things are gonna be be heading, given both sides are still escalating, particularly in terms of the Reddit, particularly uh in regards to the US moves on uh Chinese uh shipping and also Chinese moves in terms of warning countries against making trade deals with the US that could hurt Beijing's interest there. matched

Um and also that uh has matched

Quite a big policy conundrum for Australia as well, if we're ever to put to the crunch. matched

But um what I think is also interesting is uh now you're starting to see that kind of impact, the uncertainty in the harder economic data. matched

Uh to date, it's only really been evident in the soft economic data, such as the surveys. matched

But uh, we did get some data on Korean exports uh yesterday. matched

And uh exports from Korea uh fell 5.2% year on year in the first 20 days of April. matched

April and what I thought was interesting is uh the fall in those exports were really to the US and China, but uh those to Europe continued to grow um during that period of time. matched

So uh it looks like the hard data may start to pick up more comprehensively all this trade uncertainty uh in April and May. matched

So we should start to see that more in the hard economic data, whereas to date we've only really seen it in the soft economic data. matched

And I I think the one of the headline indices was w one of the worst falls uh over the past twenty years or so. matched

So i it r really is showing up in that soft soft data. matched
