Oh yeah, definitely. matched

And I think uh PM Shiva was particularly uh talking about uh his defence of barriers to agricultural imports. matched

Um and uh uh a a a a lot of these um non tariff barriers, uh particularly on the ag a agricultural side, are really trying to protect the cultural identity uh of many different countries, so whether it's Europe or Japan. matched

Uh and so these are very big uh matched

Issues for many of these countries in terms of their negotiations with the US. matched

So it's very, very unclear whether uh the US will be successful in the negotiations with each individual country. matched

But uh I was reading a few books over the Easter period and uh I I I think there's two main um areas here um um that the US administration underappreciated in terms of their shock and all strategy. matched

Uh so the first one is uh the US is no longer the world's largest economy. matched

economy, China's the largest economy and has been since twenty sixteen. matched

Yeah. matched

And so countries if they're pushed to a choice will will have to make a really hard choice um uh between those two big e economic power blocks. matched

Uh and then the second one is uh if you play poker, uh then uh you can only use the same strategy once or twice until people start to adopt a and adapt to your to your strategy. matched

Uh and uh so that's basically what you've seen. matched

Countries much more prepared um in terms of uh that negotiation style and because of that it's very, very unclear in terms of what eventual paths um will will will come. matched

Well, certainly by the market. matched

So the market has moved to price in a bit more easing through the rest of twenty twenty five. matched

So there's about sixty five basis points of cuts uh priced through to the end of December. matched

And uh really the key factors weighing on the European economy at the moment is all the trade uncertainty, particularly with the US, but also the potential for that disinflationary wave to come from China uh as those exports get get re matched

Um I guess the key takeout is that the labour market isn't really re tightening. matched
