And that's the thing that I think the biggest lesson that we need to learn in this in the greater scheme of things.
It's bigger than just the seat in Maine.
I mean, listen, it's a missed opportunity.
Susan Collins is terrible, especially as a woman.
Susan Collins is, she voted for Brett Kavanaugh.
Don, it was your show that I came on in 2018 when I was a CNN contributor, when the Brett Kavanaugh hearings blew up and the Christy Blasey Ford accusations came out and the way Republicans were treating her.
I remember I came on your show and talked about how, for women, particularly women who are survivors of sexual assault, what message this sends if you vote for this guy, and how our country was treating women
at that moment.
And this was like, as Me Too was kind of a thing, right?
So those stories were really being told.
And I was really concerned that I was still a Republican then, that I almost quit the party over this because here you have a woman like Susan Collins.
When you saw those sexual assault victims that were chasing senators into, I think it was Senator Jeff Flake, into the elevator, remember that?
It was heartbreaking where she was like, you need to hear us.
What we've gone through is real.
Do not, do not...
Go after women who waited years because that's another thing.
