Let me tell you, I think the rest of the NFL nation thinks, oh, that's the last time we'll hear from the Patriots.

And yet they somehow keep this magic carpet ride still going.

No, no, I think the enthusiasm is there.

I think, you know, there's always going to be a level of

Patriot fatigue.

So for that team to be the one that sort of defied the odds does kind of, you know, engender some head shakes across the country, like really like this team again, but it's not really fair to this group because they have sort of captured the imagination a little bit with a first year coach and

a second year quarterback who come together so well.

And I think on the flip side, that's also very true in Seattle because of the Sam Darnold angle, you know, listen, this is a quarterback league, right?

You know, this is, they're the ones who carry the stories and considering kind of the road that got him here, how low it seemed his career had been for him to be, it was a dramatically good

draft class that he was part of for quarterbacks the one that included josh allen and lamar jackson and so for him to kind of be the first one who's starting a super bowl from that class i think people have embraced that angle yeah and to be fair drake may could really age very well i mean there was even a time when who's this kid tom brady in the super bowl but they can age well

Yeah, for sure.

And there have been a lot of comparisons drawn, especially in New England, around where I work, to that 2001 Patriots team, the one that won its first Super Bowl with Brady.

Now, that team was like a 14-point underdog in the Super Bowl and was even...

you know, probably less heralded in a lot of ways than this one.

I think, you know, the Patriots story has been tied a lot to their strength of schedule, which was, you know, historically easy this season.

But at the same time that they have conquered, you know, and then and then obviously winning in the playoffs.

But but yeah, the May kind of the Vrabel and May.

being put up alongside the Belichick and Brady has certainly taken on some, you know, some momentum as a storyline.
