You know, what's similar is sort of the likability factor.
You know, Tom Brady was different by the end of his career, right?
I mean, the guy was as famous as anybody on the world stage when it came to sports.
So even when I came to, say, where I work now at the Boston Globe, when I came into covering the Patriots later, he was already kind of an untouchable, you know, big-time star.
But going back to 2001, that's the first Super Bowl I ever covered,

We had gone through 9-11.
And so the Patriots had been affected a lot by that.
That story, you know, there was there was a lot of national sentiment in that sense for the Patriots.
I think Drake May is obviously different.

He's not the unknown that Brady was.
But just in that sort of quarterback coach partnership, I think the rest of the NFL is feeling like, oh, my God, is this deja vu all over again?

Vrabel, to me, seems really just so well-suited to this moment and this team, whereas Belichick was far less known as a head coach at that time and really, really kind of had to prove that he had the right profile because he had not done well as a head coach in Cleveland toward the end anyway, and he wasn't there that long.

There are a lot of similarities, but I think what Vrabel –
Vrabel has really, with a year off he took in between from head coaching, he has sort of found that magic.
