Hi, Rima and the This Isn't Comfortable team.
I work in healthcare and my husband is an actuary.
And so we are lucky enough to make a little bit above the average.
We wanted to be really intentional about raising our kids, particularly in America, where America is not as kind to Black people in general.
And so it was really important for me growing up to really build my identity formation outside of what
america kind of tells us we should be what we can do and my parents were also very intentional and they took us back home to ghana frequently and now that i'm an adult with my own kids um we're doing the same so we just bought flights to bring all four of us to ghana which costs nearly five thousand dollars just for tickets alone let alone the cost that we're going to spend over there but the trade-off is worth it even if
a family that makes good income like ourselves.
We're still kind of scraping by in the context of how expensive child care is.
Anyway, I really love the show and thanks for the opportunity.
