It's still reasonably early in the the earnings season.
We've got more earnings from the from from the hyperscalers next week, that which will be an important
Yes, certainly for for now that kind of you know, that conflict is is ongoing and you know, the oil market has been and and remains, you know, incredibly sensitive to those kind of near term supply dynamics on on you know the flow of oil through through the Strait of Hamous.
And we've seen that in the the move higher in oil prices.
We see it in dated Brent as well, that pushed up to a hundred and five dollars a barrel.
So that's kind of closer to that that physical benchmark rather than the the um frontmost.
month futures contract.
But I think the other thing that's that's relevant here, kind of, you know, back a few weeks ago in in late June when Brent oil was, you know, near a $70 a barrel, I think there was this concern that, okay, well, you know, the the flow of through the Strait of Hamoz is is fragile.
Things could change pretty quickly there and sea oil uh move move higher again.
Have we kind of extended further than that?
I think one of the things that's kind of relevant in this push up, you know, up
to and and a little bit through a a hundred dollars a barrel is just kind of maybe the the scope of um supply disruptions is is a little broader than the Strait of Hamuz.
And so those um you know those attacks on a couple of Saudi Arabian tankers in in the Red Sea are are relevant on on this in terms of further potential disruption.
And also uh Russia is is again relevant in in this with kind of a tax on uh the a terminal in in Russia
such as Black Sea Coast, which is an export terminal for a lot of uh oil coming from Kazakhstan.
And so, you know, the the broader oil supply disruption story, the the scope of that um, you know, with the news overnight, maybe it's getting people on the scent, you know, the scope of the supply disruption could be a little larger than just the straight up and over this is ongoing.
Mm.
Why is the time?
Yeah, no, no exactly.
Um, you know, it was the combination of some near term relief in terms of supplies through the Strait of Hamoose and those, you know, bridging levers that were being pulled in terms of infantry drawdown, lower Chinese imports, those sorts of themes.
