So, you know, Trump's address, which is, you know, about midday our time in in Sydney today will be closely watched. voice-verified

And yeah, I mean, if the major developments uh over the last twenty four hours or or so have had um Donald Trump saying that Iran's president has has asked for a ceasefire that he wouldn't agree to unless the Strait of Hormuz was first reopened. voice-verified

Um and you know we there are you know alternate things in the in in the works as well that as you say the UAE um reported to be preparing to help the US and other allies open the strait by force, have you know read about a a separate diplomatic uh effort to try and um see a a way through. voice-verified

And so you know there's there's there's movement on multiple fronts trying to move voice-verified

Yeah, so the um the Federal Reserve over over the last day uh cuts um had you know, we were briefly with you know, when um uh central bank pricing generally had had you know extended meaningfully higher. voice-verified

There were, you know, the risk of of hikes by the end of the year starting to be priced for for the Fed. voice-verified

That had moved back and um what we saw overnight is the um cut pricing by the end of the year. voice-verified

It paired from about thirteen basis points or so back to voice-verified

And and you know, really on on strength in in US data, we had the ISMs and we had retail sales uh both out um and ADP in employment as well, I should mention. voice-verified

And really the summary there is you know a a little bit stronger than expected. voice-verified

Um it is worth noting there that uh some of that strength did come from a uh voice-verified

uh a big jump in supplier delivery times. voice-verified

And so this is a, you know, an interesting one because ordinarily a s rise in supplier delivery times associated with, you know, stronger, stronger demand and a and a pickup, but it can also reflect supply disruption. voice-verified

So maybe it was flattered a little bit and that pickup could be related to those disruptions in in the Middle East. voice-verified

But, you know, the production index was higher, employment was little changed in the survey. voice-verified
