You've done it all, mate.
No, I wouldn't say that at all.
I'm very much proud and enjoy my time that I played football, but I always knew what I wanted to move into after football, and that's investing.
So I thoroughly enjoy what I do, and I started up the podcast a few years ago.
It was a bit of a trial.
Oh, it's good to hear.
We've just had our third birthday and we're a robo-advisor, which I probably already lost many people that may go, what's a robo-advisor?
And all it means is we provide investment management online.
And it's a bit different because we don't provide it face-to-face.
And so, we now have clients all over Australia like yourself, Kate.
We've got a lot of people that sign up to our newsletter and I'm thoroughly enjoying it to be able to help people improve the quality of life for the next 5, 10, 20, 30 years.
It's a thoroughly rewarding career.
Yeah, so I grew up in Melbourne and always had a deep passion for AFL and I was fortunate enough to get drafted at the age of 17 and, you know, very lucky in that when you get drafted, you get paid.
Suddenly you've got lots of money at 17.
Yeah, well, suddenly, you know, I'm living with mum and dad and, you know, 17, 18 and coming into a bit of money and,
um having to make decisions about what i'm going to do with it now that i'm a young adult and um my dad gave me a book at the time as peter lynch's book went up on wall street and um i didn't do any accounting economic subjects at um at school and i really enjoyed it um
And I decided that I was going to start investing in the market off the back of what I was reading by Peter Lynch.
And I made some pretty expensive lessons in that I probably thought I was a bit better than I was and probably a bit naive and had too much confidence for and probably not an appreciation of what actual real research is.
But what it did do is planted a seed in my mind about another passion that I had, and that is investing.
