And maybe you were three years old and something happened to you and your need wasn't met at that moment.

And then something else happened to you at age seven.

And what I've noticed, even though I had such a happy, beautiful childhood, and not without, is challenges.

And my mom has schizoaffective disorder and it was just her and I. And so that came with it a lot of...

challenges, but also just a happy, I was so connected to my mom.

I was my mom's everything.

And even just like having that immense love and connection and attention from her was just so beautiful.

And so I don't take that for granted and I wouldn't change anything, but I have been able to go through and process like zero to 17 and look at little

times in which I needed extra nurturing.

And you have the opportunity when you are parenting to reparent, reparent that little child within yourself.

And oftentimes it'll be triggered from something that your seven-year-old child does or says or something goes on and suddenly you feel that little seven-year-old in you who doesn't

I actually didn't have my need met and now my feelings are coming out in a way that my emotional system, it's skew whiff.

It needs some tending to and it needs some nurturing.

And so when we can tend to our own nervous system, we can show up in abundance as a parent and meet their needs as their needs arise, as you so beautifully said earlier.

Yeah.

And that is how I parent, meet the need as the need arises.

And when the need arises within me, I need to meet that need.

And then I can continue parenting with my heart forward, with compassion, with love, with patience, with all those things.

Yeah, I think I've been, I'm a very level-headed person.
