Yeah, for sure.
There's a lot to think about, but it gives you a framework and especially if a person uh rs you know, who r receives the initial request isn't um necessarily versed in
the the nuances of HIPAA, it's really helpful to have that guidance available to them to to know what to do and check the boxes.
I believe it would be think before you act, don't impulsively respond to a subpoena.
Um, make sure that you know what you need to do to comply with HIPAA and other laws, state whether it be state law or part two.
Um
So just don't produce the records until you're sure that you're doing it in a compliant manner.
That's right.
Because once the horse is out of the barn, the horse is out of the barn.
Right.
And and their and the consequences can be severe.
