Were you ever jealous of people who didn't necessarily feel the pressure so much and were able to take it in their stride?
I know you felt the pressure from really young in boxing.
But was there a forced moment for you where you thought I'm struggling mentally here and what age would that have been around?
I was going to say, was there a part of you wishing you'd met him a couple of years prior?
to the highest level or when kids are getting to a higher level it then just becomes you need to perform yeah 100 you need to win here you need to you know what i mean rather than i think kids just going into boxing clubs there is a lot to learn but i think when you get to a certain level then it's like yeah just expect it to win yeah you know again you need to say to kids as well because i think a lot of kids they try and emulate what they say on the telly yeah you need to be like see who you're seeing on the telly that's like the top one percent yeah
We've mentioned earlier, you are a two-time Olympian and I think sometimes when we're sitting back watching the Olympics and watching these boxers coming out and you see them at the highest level, you never, I don't think the average person ever sits back and wonders what they're going through mentally.
I think we just sit back and we go, oh, let's see how they perform.
Regardless of the performance, staring on the telly, there's millions of people watching and people don't really think that far back or think about what they're thinking mentally.
What were you thinking mentally when you got to the Olympics the first time and you're walking out to your first fight?
Is the Olympic medal the proudest thing you've done in your life?
It's not even close, is it?
I'm not going to ask you what the other thing is, but why is it not up there?
You mentioned earlier, obviously you retired young and Michaela is still boxing.
