So can you take me through how that kind of, I suppose, what we know now about the disappearance of Bobby Ryan on June 3rd?
So when Bobby Ryan goes missing, the Garda investigation is that of a missing person.
And meanwhile, when all of this is going on, Patrick Quirk, who has just murdered Bobby Ryan, is seemingly hoping to rekindle his relationship with Mary Lowry.
This is crucial in how, I suppose, the investigation proceeded.
So in April 2013, he hatches this plan.
He alleges that he discovered the body of Bobby Ryan as he emptied the tank.
Patrick Quirk quickly becomes the main suspect as Gardaí begin to piece together what happened to Bobby.
And he goes on trial for murder in 2019.
It was a huge event.
And I suppose one of the most interesting pieces that came to light during the trial were Google searches that had taken place on Patrick's computer.
He was Googling human decomposition timelines and limits of DNA evidence.
And ultimately, he is found guilty by a jury and he's sent to prison for murder.
But he has repeatedly tried to appeal his conviction in the years since.
So do you think any possibility of a retrial still exists?
