That's really the problem for them all.

The ego and the power got them and now it's all crumbling.

What's your own assessment of that particular quote?

And do you think it's a fair kind of assessment of the situation?

David MacDonald, I was chatting earlier to Maeve about the conditions of the prison in Dubai in which Daniel Kinahan is currently in.

And to be honest, it seems like a pretty bleak place.

But you worked as an officer in the Irish prison system for over 30 years.

And it's interesting because during that time, you would have encountered all kinds of criminals.

And one man was Christy Kinahan, which is Daniel's father.

How did he take to prison life?

And do you remember him?

You'd imagine that discussions of prison or the subject of prison would have been discussed between father and son, between Christy and Daniel.

So I suppose from your perspective, do you think that Daniel Kenhin might be especially prepared for the possibility of life behind bars?

Do you think he would be regarded as a sort of celebrity criminal and would that make a difference to how other prisoners would treat him?
