But yeah, I actually did Asian Academy.
I was a little bit older than... So we work with 18 to 30 year olds.
So I think I was around 26 when I started it.
And mine was in COVID, so a little bit different.
And it was behind Zoom and behind a computer screen.
But our...
like the normal processes everything's in person it's two days a week as well so it's not too taxing so if you do have a job then you're able to kind of um work around those requirements but back to like the success stories apart from just like myself there's yeah plenty of other people who've kind of said yeah the academy was my first step into you know like you mentioned growing your confidence understanding different roles um and also just being
feeling of, for lack of better term, of use.
Because sometimes people graduate and, well, I work with them directly, but you see the confidence is being knocked because they smashed it in university and they're like, right, easy, I'm just going to apply for this job and get into it.
And then they really realise how competitive it is.
And when you have a bit of experience, when you know a few people
it's easier for you to just kind of break in.
And even if it doesn't come straight away, it gives you the confidence to keep going, spares you on.
Yeah, success stories are probably really, really vital.
I know I'm using me as the poster boy, but my journey was like, obviously I've done football content and media and I have my own podcast and I wanted to work in the industry a little bit more consistently rather than doing sporadic and freelancing.
And then I was a designer, did UX design and then I've moved into like program management as well.
So yeah, full circle for me.
So currently we have, we're currently halfway through a Liverpool programme and then we've just started the Manchester programme so there'll be further programmes towards the end of the year and then they're going to be a little bit more Manchester based but then we will have future programmes in Liverpool from next year and in terms of growing I think if there's any like employees out there
who want to hire, we definitely can help with that because what we tend to do is they can pick the best of talent.
I've had people I've spoken to where they've put job ads up, they have 400 people applying for the role, whereas we can kind of shortlist that and say we work with people who are hungry, ready to get stuck in, and we can tailor whatever kind of needs that the employer wants.
