As a dropback passer, one of the things that I hopefully, well, I'm not sure how much of this is going to be part of the new offensive system, but definitely was a big part of the previous system.
And one thing that I don't think that he was very good at was throwing behind the line of scrimmage, not in screen situations, but throwing to running backs and tight ends in the flat.
Just the precision was not quite there.
And those are like precious moments sort of situations where you're trying to get somebody on the run with the person in coverage sprinting to keep up after them.
You hit them in stride and they should be able to outrun the coverage and get a decent chunk.
gain on that play when they have to pirouette and catch something or have to, you know, wait for a ball because it's not throwing them in stride or whatever, which seemed to be the case a lot.
Those five yard gains end up being like two yard gains or even losses.
That's certainly something that I don't think was.
