but then about three weeks ago we read that Chris Minns has sent a delegation of his top cops to Germany and England to learn, this is his words, to learn best practice hate policing.
Sounds great, doesn't it?
Going to Germany and England to learn that.
He really do that?
Yes, he did.
He didn't say, he sent a delegation of cops there.
Now, I don't know whether that means five or 50, but he's created this, in addition to that, he's created this new force of about 260 new cops,
And their job is to sort of high-tech combating hate posts.
And when they sold it to us, they said, oh, it's about sort of stopping, it's mainly about stopping violence at public protests.
And I thought to myself, okay, how many protests are there in New South Wales?
I thought maybe once a fortnight, you know, of any note.
And I thought, how many of them turn violent?
I said, well, this one about nurses or teachers or whatever, right?
Most of them don't turn violent, right?
There's a megaphone, people say a few things, people cheer, then they go home.
But maybe three or four times in the year, something turns violent at a protest for whatever reason, okay?
And so these 250 cops are going to be like, they're looking after three or four violent protests a year.
And it's not like it's 25 cops, it's 250.
What are they going to be doing all day?
Min said it's a high-tech policing.
